Industry Professionals Show Up for Pasture Tour Near Winterset – Just Miss Rain
On September 17, the Iowa Forage and Grassland Council dodged the foreboding weather for a pasture tour at Rowe’s Red Cows near Winterset, Iowa. Nearly 45 members and guests attended this tour to learn about:
- Planning Recovery Methods of Damaged Pastures
- Stockpiled Grazing
- Controlling Pasture Weeds
- Pasture Renovation
- Utilizing Cover Crops from Prevented Planting Acres
- Fall Seeding Forages
- Pros and Cons of Alternative Cow Management Systems
Guest speakers included Elyssa Trejo, Corteva Agriscience, and other board members.
